An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced administrator with exceptional communication skills coupled with financial acumen.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Rūnanga Kaiāwhina will work alongside Rūnanga staff and the Executive Committee of Te Rūnanga o Arowhenua Society Incorporated to provide financial and administrative support. The key focus of this position is to ensure the day to day financial and administration requirements of the rūnanga office are performed to an efficient and professional standard.
We want to hear from you if you have the following key attributes:
Demonstrable experience with the Microsoft Office suite of programmes and electric diary management to a high level. Strong experience in the application of accounting software and financial administration- specifically MYOB would be an advantage. Knowledge of tikanga, with competence in te reo Māori, or a willingness to learn. Experience working in a kaupapa Māori environment or a willingness to work in such an environment, with a clear ability to manaaki manuhiri and whānau/Rūnanga members. Strong awareness of and affinity for the needs and aspirations of Kāi Tahu whānau and specifically Kāti Huirapa. Your proven communication and relationship skills will enable you to work collaboratively with the Executive Committee, Rūnanga kaimahi, whānau and the wider community.
